PRIORITY Basketball Academy formerly known as The Basketball Academy is committed to seeing our youth thrive not just on the court but also in their academics. We have a mission in helping the next generation be successful which makes them a PRIORITY.
We are the one of the best youth basketball development training programs in the Central Valley.
Basketball players today think that they are good enough if they can shoot three pointers and dunk. Players want to play 5 on 5 all summer thinking this will make them better. Typical AAU teams are a great example of what is wrong with basketball today. Too many coaches are worried about just winning games and they refuse to focus on the fundamentals of the game. PRIORITY Basketball Academy will focus on improving the skills of each player during fundamental work at practice. At least half of each session will be focused on teaching and improving the fundamental skills of each player. Our main goal is to have each player leave the program with better skills than when they came and to know what they need to work on to become an even better player. The games are where they get a chance to practice the skills they are taught. We believe in supporting our students' and their academic endeavors and with basketball it is a start to assist them down a road of developing many skills they will need.
PRIORITY Basketball Academy’s mission is to create a basketball experience for our youth that focuses on educating and developing life skills which will enable student-athletes to become productive citizens beyond their basketball years and into the next generation. PRIORITY'S focus and goal is to provide a specialized program that is able to not just meet the athletic potential but meet the academic and social needs of the student athletes.
Athletic and Personal Development plays an integral role in the overall development of each basketball student-athlete. Here at PRIORITY we focus on crucial areas such as mental toughness, strength & conditioning, nutrition, leadership, life skills and character development, and more to ensure that PRIORITY Basketball Academy basketball student-athletes not only have an advantage over the competition but understand what it takes to succeed in college but in life.

The Coach
Meet the Coach
Coach Gerald Perry has always had a passion for basketball since a child and played for Fresno State. Coach Gerald Perry has over 30 years of coaching experience, “Coach of the Year” distinction in both California and Washington, He also coached a number of countless Past and present D1 and Professional Players.
He initially started the basketball academy formerly known as "The Basketball Academy" which started 15 years ago and after a tragic motorcycle accident that nearly took his life a few years back he had been focused on his recovery only to refresh his passionate love for basketball and press harder with our youth and educating and building the next generation and making them a PRIORITY.
Coaching with a Passion
Coach Gerald's passion is coaching and kids and most importantly seeing them thrive to the next level in their academics and in their athletic skills. Coach Perry is also the CEO/CFO of Jewell Enterprise however is first love is basketball and his number one PRIORITY is the kids and seeing them succeed to higher levels.
